Are you or a loved one approaching end-of-life?Acclaimed Australian filmmaker Amiel Courtin-Wilson is currently seeking participants for a groundbreaking documentary film about death called TRACES. Driven by a desire to create beautiful and arresting images of the moment of death to trigger a robust conversation about death and dying, TRACES will be a film like no other. Amiel and his team are currently searching for participants all over the world and we are willing to travel to you to document you and your family during this important and highly sensitive time.
Our filmmaking team understand the sensitivity of the request, and want to foster strong and nurturing relationships between artists and participants to ensure the needs between the individual, family and loved ones are met. Our aim is to allow for deep reflection around this stage of the life cycle, as something intensely meditative and personal. We wish to show this moment in a devotional way, that will enable people to contemplate the subject of mortality with greater clarity related to growing awareness around this subject in the community. Amiel is experienced in working with delicate and intimate subject matter. His work is notable for its special sensitivity toward peoples experiences with homelessness, marginalisation and poverty, being celebrated for these qualities at Cannes (CICADA), Sundance (CHASING BUDDHA) and Venice (HAIL, RUIN - Orizzonti Special Jury Prize) Film Festivals. Amiel is available for interviews about this project and for all media inquiries and or if you would like to be a part of this unique and important project, please contact our team.
